Responsibilities

As the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) Team Leader in Atlanta, GA, Walter is responsible for the design of complex risk management programs that meet the needs of Aon’s small to middle market clients. He and his team handle all account management, brokerage, and production from end to end.  The majority of the SME clientele have connections to an international Aon partner, industry practice group, or an Aon client.  Walter’s team provides service to the Atlanta office, as well as the southeast region and Aon colleagues around the world.

 

Experience

Walter began his insurance career working with a regional broker servicing mainly small to middle market companies.  In this role, he gained valuable experience in production, risk management program design, and account management.  He joined the Aon team in March of 2013.  

 

Education

Walter earned a B.A. from Presbyterian College and a M.Ed. in Counseling and Human Development from The University of Georgia. He is actively pursuing a designation as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), as well as an Associate in General Insurance (AINS).

 

Personal

Walter lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Lib and son Denver.  His hobbies include playing tennis/golf and spending time with family and friends. 

 

He is an Usher at the Cathedral of St. Phillip and avid supporter of Leadership Ministries in Atlanta, GA.  He also serves on the alumni board of the Trinity School, Woodward Academy, and has previously been involved with Young Life of Northwest Atlanta.
