Alana Mueller is a Partner in Bennett Thrasher's Financial Reporting and Assurance department and leads the Firm’s Captive Insurance practice. Alana has significant experience providing accounting, auditing and consulting services to clients in the insurance industry, including property & casualty insurance companies, foreign and domestic captives and state guaranty associations. Alana's experience also includes serving both domestic and international clients ranging from start-up to large markets within the private sector. Her industry experience also includes broker-dealers, private equity funds, manufacturing, distribution, professional services and employee benefit plans.

 

Alana graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Georgia, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), and is a member of the GSCPA Accounting and Advisory Board. Alana is the Treasurer of the Georgia Captive Insurance Association (GCIA) and previously served as the President of the GCIA from 2014 through 2017. She also served as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Georgia Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA) from 2010 through 2016.
